En 2022, tuve el honor de crear la portada para el single Osito de Benjamín Koll, el pseudónimo del reconocido productor musical Juan Belmonte. Este encargo fue especialmente significativo debido a su trayectoria en la industria musical, donde dejó una huella imborrable como parte del icónico dúo Pumpin’ Dolls.
La imagen central de la portada es un osito amarillo con una expresión alegre, diseñado para evocar sentimientos de ternura y nostalgia. Me inspiré en la estética del arte pop y el estilo kawaii japonés, utilizando colores vibrantes y líneas definidas para generar una conexión inmediata con el espectador. El fondo presenta patrones geométricos en tonos rojos y azules, evocando la iconografía del «sol naciente» japonés, lo que añade dinamismo y energía a la composición.
Trabajar en este proyecto fue un privilegio, considerando la influencia de Juan Belmonte en la música dance y pop. Como Pumpin’ Dolls, creó remixes para artistas internacionales como Cher y Santana, alcanzando los primeros puestos en las listas de Billboard. Este legado realzó la importancia del encargo y me motivó a plasmar en la obra la esencia de Osito: una mezcla de nostalgia, calidez y celebración.

In 2022, I had the honor of creating the cover for the single Osito by Benjamín Koll, the pseudonym of renowned music producer Juan Belmonte. This commission was especially significant due to his career in the music industry, where he left an indelible mark as part of the iconic duo Pumpin’ Dolls.
The central image of the cover is a yellow teddy bear with a joyful expression, designed to evoke feelings of tenderness and nostalgia. I was inspired by the aesthetics of pop art and the Japanese kawaii style, using vibrant colors and defined lines to create an immediate connection with the viewer. The background features geometric patterns in shades of red and blue, evoking the iconography of the Japanese «rising sun,» adding dynamism and energy to the composition.
Working on this project was a privilege, considering Juan Belmonte’s influence on dance and pop music. As Pumpin’ Dolls, he created remixes for international artists such as Cher and Santana, reaching the top of the Billboard charts. This legacy enhanced the importance of the commission and motivated me to capture in the artwork the essence of Osito: a blend of nostalgia, warmth, and celebration.
