GEORGINA
Esta obra es un homenaje a la esencia de Georgina y a su disco Bienvenido a mi habitación. Está construida sobre un collage de letras de sus últimas canciones, integradas en la textura del fondo como si fueran sus pensamientos, su voz flotando en el aire.
La figura central es Georgina en un momento de éxtasis, entregada por completo a la música. Su rostro se alza con los ojos cerrados, transmitiendo una sensación de libertad y conexión con su arte. Utilicé una paleta de verdes y azules para evocar calma, profundidad y ensoñación, como si estuviera inmersa en su propio universo sonoro.
Los patrones ornamentales que la rodean, tan caracteristicos de mi pitura, recuerdan a diseños textiles o cerámicos tradicionales, creando un diálogo entre lo moderno y lo clásico. Algunos fragmentos de las letras quedan sutilmente visibles, como susurros escondidos entre las capas de pintura, mientras que la superposición de colores y formas añade dinamismo y textura a la composición.
Más que un retrato, esta obra es un mapa emocional, una fusión entre arte urbano y arte decorativo, un reflejo visual de la conexión de Georgina con su música y su mundo interior.
GEORGINA
This piece is a tribute to the essence of Georgina and her album Bienvenido a mi habitación. It is built upon a collage of lyrics from her latest songs, seamlessly integrated into the background texture, as if they were her thoughts—her voice floating in the air.
The central figure is Georgina in a moment of pure ecstasy, completely surrendered to the music. Her face is lifted, eyes closed, conveying a sense of freedom and deep connection with her art. I used a palette of greens and blues to evoke calmness, depth, and dreaminess, as if she were immersed in her own sonic universe.
The ornamental patterns surrounding her, so characteristic of my painting style, resemble traditional textile or ceramic designs, creating a dialogue between the modern and the classic. Some fragments of her lyrics remain subtly visible, like whispers hidden between layers of paint, while the overlapping colors and shapes add dynamism and texture to the composition.
More than a portrait, this piece is an emotional map—a fusion of urban and decorative art, a visual reflection of Georgina’s connection to her music and inner world.
